Game Video Feedback

Send game video of your goalie for Byron to analyze and provide tangible feedback. With experience cutting and clipping video for goalies at the National Program with Hockey Canada, and Winnipeg Ice, Byron has a ton of experience helping goalies learn from their game actions.
Goalies are increasingly visual learners. Taking skills learned during goalie specific skates and translating them to game situations can be challenging. Going over game footage can help give goalies a full understanding of skills and how to translate them from practice, to games. Game video can be cut into any categories the goalies are looking for.

Summer Elite Programs
Location: Southdale CC
The Full Summer Elite Program is the best opportunity for goalies who are committed to developing and improving their goaltending abilities this summer. It is an intense program where goalies are pushed and challenged more than in a weeklong camp setting. This program has been designed by Byron to cover all aspects of the goaltending position across a full-summer of sessions. Byron limits the groups to lower numbers to maximize the amount of time goalies are able to spend getting instruction and being in the net.
3 Groups divided by age groups (might vary slightly depending on registrations) 1 All-female group |
14 On-Ice Group Sessions |
14 Off-Ice Sessions |
1 Semi-Private Lesson |
Monday & Wednesday Evenings (Semi-Private session time will be a daytime session in early July) |
Program Runs July 7 - August 20, 2025 (Semi-Private Lesson will be July 3 or 4) |
Price:$1285+GST ($1349.25) |
On-Ice Training
These skates have a combination of skating, goalie specific skill, and situational play drills. There will be high-level shooters on the ice to challenge the goalies for the situational play drills, and create the most realistic game-like plays possible.
Off-Ice Workouts
These workouts are created for goaltender specific development. There are 2 main areas of focus for these workouts:
Video Sessions
These sessions are led by head instructor, Byron, and provide as a great visual aid for the goalies to see themselves in action, reinforcing tactics and skills being taught on the ice. These sessions will also include video from Byron’s work in the WHL, MJHL, and USports to help goalies understand player tendencies/options and how to read the play from a goalie’s perspective. This year, there will be more emphasis on video done on the ice. In addition, discussions about mental preparation, hockey intangibles, and high-performance habits.
Semi-Private Sessions
The semi-private session at the start of summer is to help identify some key areas of development for the goalies to focus on through the summer program. It’s an even smaller environment where the goalies get the opportunity spend 1 on 1 times with Byron and his staff to ask questions, to gain a better understanding of their areas of improvement for the summer.
Sense Arena
Each goalie will receive a virtual reality training session. To elevate their training experience through the summer, Spriggs Goaltending utilizes Sense Arena Virtual Reality Goalie Training. Immersing the goalies in a cutting-edge simulation that enhances their skills and reflexes. By harnessing the power of virtual reality, goalies can hone their techniques, improve their reflexes, and make split-second decisions, providing an unprecedented and realistic training environment off the ice.

This program has been designed by Byron to cover all aspects of the goaltending position across a full-summer of sessions. Byron limits the groups to lower numbers to maximize the amount of time goalies are able to spend getting instruction and being in the net.

Workload Management & Goalie Specific Components
Goalie coaches are on the ice for every skate from Monday to Thursday, ensuring goalies consistently receive dedicated goaltender-specific training. The program incorporates themed skates, including skills-focused days, positional development days, and game-scenario days. Our small group of experienced coaches carefully manages and monitors the program to provide personalized, curated training for each goalie. This approach allows coaches to balance workloads by focusing on slower-paced, detailed skill work during high shot-volume days and faster-paced goalie drills involving players on other days.
Team Coaching

Send game video of your goalie for Byron to analyze and provide tangible feedback. With experience cutting and clipping video for goalies at the National Program with Hockey Canada, and Winnipeg Ice, Byron has a ton of experience helping goalies learn from their game actions.
Goalies are increasingly visual learners. Taking skills learned during goalie specific skates and translating them to game situations can be challenging. Going over game footage can help give goalies a full understanding of skills and how to translate them from practice, to games. Game video can be cut into any categories the goalies are looking for.

Summer Elite Programs

The Full Summer Elite Program is the best opportunity for goalies who are committed to developing and improving their goaltending abilities this summer. It is an intense program where goalies are pushed and challenged more than in a weeklong camp setting. This program has been designed by Byron to cover all aspects of the goaltending position across a full-summer of sessions. Byron limits the groups to lower numbers to maximize the amount of time goalies are able to spend getting instruction and being in the net.

Game Video Feedback
Location: N/A
Send game video of your goalie for Byron to analyze and provide tangible feedback.
