These programs involve hybrid sessions structured like a team or skills practice, where goaltenders receive specialized training from a goalie coach while also participating in player drills to simulate realistic, game-like scenarios and improve situational awareness. These programs are run in conjunction with Laker Hockey Academy.

Hybrid sessions have the benefits of receiving goaltender specific training time and game-situation drills with feedback from the goalie coaches. These programs are also a great cost-effective training opportunity.

Times: 6:15-7:15PM
Goalie Ages: 2014 & 2015
*this program is geared towards A1 and AA caliber players - be prepared to receive this level of shot*
Location: Southdale CC
Group Size: 4 goalies max

Price: $420+GST ($441.00)

*This program is a defence specific camp - most drills with the players will involve defence specific drills including but not limited to:
- 1 on 1s
- Point shots, screens, and deflections
- Defensive in-zone scoring drills
- Shots off the rush

Goalie Ages: 2011 & 2012
*this program is geared towards mainly AA and AAA caliber players - be prepared to receive this level of shot*

Group Size: 4 goalies max

*This program is a defence specific camp - most drills with the players will involve defence specific drills including but not limited to:
- 1 on 1s
- Point shots
- Defence scoring drills
- Shots off the rush

For all programs, during goaltender specific time we will focus on the following themes and skills:

  • Stance
  • Lateral Mobility on Feet (speed, explosiveness, proper angles and angle adjustments)
  • Lateral Mobility in Butterfly (hand positioning, tracking, efficient movements, aggressive hands)
  • Postwork (RVH, VH, Situational Understanding)
  • Puck-Handling
  • Edgework (essential to becoming a stronger skater)
  • Situational Play (controlling rebounds, reading the play, save selection)
