Our Tryout Preparation Skates are offered in two unique formats, each designed to help athletes prepare for evaluations in different ways. Please read the program descriptions below to determine which option is the best fit for your goaltender.
Our Goalie Tryout Prep Skates are designed to help goalies head into evaluations feeling confident, prepared, and game ready.
Each session focuses on quality repetitions, technical details, movement efficiency, and tracking while gradually increasing pace throughout the week. Whether you're returning to the ice after the summer or have been training consistently, these skates provide an opportunity to fine-tune your game before tryouts begin.
With dedicated goalie instruction and plenty of puck touches, goalies leave each skate feeling sharp, confident, and ready to compete.

The AAA Prep Skates in conjunction with Laker Hockey recreate the pace and intensity of high-level tryouts by bringing players and goaltenders together in a competitive environment.
Sessions include flow drills, skill development, rushes, small-area games, and controlled scrimmages that challenge both players and goalies in realistic game situations. These skates are designed to help athletes sharpen their decision-making, timing, and confidence before evaluations begin.
*NOTE: These sessions run for 2 weeks
