This program offers an opportunity for in-season goalie specific development. Byron has put together different programs for each group that run the course of the season. Each group will focus on developing a series of important goalie specific skills that might be otherwise forgotten during the hockey season.
Excited to announce that for 2025-26 there are even MORE session time and date options to choose from!
A calendar will be sent out upon registration to fill out and return to Byron to make the date/time selection as smooth as possible.
Sessions will be themed throughout the months with greater emphasis on those skills at sessions that take place during those months:
- October/November Sessions - Edgework, General Skating Ability & Tracking (includes screens & deflections)
- December Sessions - Butterfly Sliding & Backside Pushing
- January Sessions - Postwork (RVH) & Puck Handling
- February Sessions - Recap & Refresher

U11 Program

Program FAQ:
Q: How do I register?
A: Once you click “Register Now,” you’ll receive a follow-up email with the program calendar. You’ll fill it out and return it to Byron to secure your session selections.
Q: What if I’m not sure how many sessions my goalie will be able to attend?
A: No problem! When you register, you’ll select the package that best fits your ideal schedule. We know every family’s hockey calendar is busy, so there is flexibility to adjust if things change. The packages are designed to give you options — whether you want a smaller block of sessions or more consistent development throughout the season.
Q: Can I mix and match dates from different days/locations?
A: Yes! You can choose any combination of sessions across the listed dates and locations that best fit your schedule.
Q: Do I have to pick all my sessions up front?
A: No. You’ll receive a calendar after registration to choose your preferred sessions. You can return it promptly, or if you need flexibility, you can coordinate with Byron as the season progresses (subject to availability).
Q: What if I need to miss a session? Can I reschedule?
A: We understand conflicts happen! If you notify Byron in advance, we’ll do our best to accommodate a switch into another available session. Same day cancellation/reschedule requests won't be accommodated.
Q: Can my U9 goalie join the U11 program?
A: Possibly! U9 goalies should contact Byron directly to discuss readiness and fit for the program.
